Born to Asha (school teacher) and Amardeep Ranaut (businessman), this small town beauty made big in the B-town with her debut hit Gangster. She has an elder sister and a younger brother. She did her schooling from DAV, Chandigarh, and later moved to Shimla to complete her high school. Her dream of being a model brought her to Delhi, where she joined Elite Modelling Agency. After the failed attempt she went on to join Asmita Theatre group (2003-2005) as a theater actor
