Yuna Yunalis - Ustazah Rock

There's a new wave of talented ladies emerging from the local music scene and 22-year-old Yunalis Zarai (Yuna) is one of them. Yuna voice similar as Juliet The Orange and she can play guitar and the most thing she wear “tudung”. It’s really make me amazed her. Yuna (also known as Yunalis) is a young female acoustic/folk singer-songwriter based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, who began making a mark for herself in the local independent scene in 2007.

Yuna has been cementing herself in the local scene with complementary comparisons to the likes of Norah Jones and Rachel Yamagata. Her influences range from Bob Dylan, Fiona Apple, Tori Amos and Feist.

Sample songs can be heard on her MySpace profile at http://myspace.com/yunaroomrecords
